Zoom Zoom Zoo (the "Game") is made by Nierro ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the Game uses, why, and the choices you have. If you have questions, write to zoomzoosupport@gmail.com.
1. The short version
- The Game is for players aged 13 and older. Players under 13 can play the single-player parts only; online and social features are switched off for them.
- Today the Game keeps your progress, settings, profile and your Builder levels on your own device.
- When our online features (online matches, sharing levels, friends, leaderboards) are switched on, the information listed in section 3 will be sent to our servers so those features can work.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- You can delete your data at any time from Settings > Delete My Data (see section 8).
2. Information stored on your device
The Game saves the following on your device so it can work:
- Your puzzle progress, stars, Paw Coins, items you own, missions and settings (sound, music, vibration, board looks).
- Your profile: a random Player ID, the display name you choose, your chosen avatar and banner, and the Player IDs you follow.
- Levels you build and levels you import, with their ratings, likes and play statistics on this device.
- Reports you make and creators you block (so those levels stay hidden).
This information stays on your device unless you use an online feature or make a backup code and share it yourself.
3. Information sent to our servers when online features are on
When online features are available and you use them, we will receive and store:
- Your Player ID, display name, avatar and banner, and who you follow.
- Levels you publish (their layout, name and your Player ID as the author), and the ratings, likes, tags, plays and clear results others give them.
- Online match results and scores, your VS tokens and points, and the earned titles shown on your profile.
- Reports and blocks you send us, with the level and the reason you chose.
- Basic technical data your device sends automatically (such as IP address, device model, operating system version, app version and crash information) so we can run the service, keep it secure and fix problems.
- Redeem codes you enter.
We do not ask for your real name, phone number, contact list, precise location, photos or microphone.
4. Why we use information
- To run the Game and its features (progress, profile, online matches, shared levels).
- To keep the Game fair and safe: prevent cheating, spam and abuse, review reports and enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines.
- To fix bugs, measure performance and improve the Game.
- To give you purchases and rewards you are entitled to.
- To meet legal obligations.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (running the Game), our legitimate interests (security, fairness, improving the Game), your consent where we ask for it, and legal obligations.
5. Sharing
- Other players can see what you choose to make public: your display name, Player ID, avatar, banner, published levels and your match results/titles.
- Service providers help us run the Game (for example hosting, crash reporting and app-store billing). They may only use information to do that work for us.
- Purchases of Paw Coins or other items are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We do not receive your payment card details.
- We may share information when the law requires it, to protect people's safety, or to defend our rights.
- If our business is sold or merged, information may move to the new owner under the same protections.
6. Advertising
The Game currently shows no advertising. If we add ads in the future, we will update this policy first, we will only show ads suitable for our audience, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent before using an advertising ID.
7. Children
The Game is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. When you first open the Game we ask whether you are 13 or older. If you say you are under 13, online and social features stay switched off. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact zoomzoosupport@gmail.com and we will delete it. Where local law sets a higher age for digital consent (for example up to 16 in parts of the EEA), a parent or guardian must agree before that player uses online features.
8. Your choices and rights
- Delete everything: open Settings > Delete My Data. This erases the Game's data on your device. When online features are on, it also sends a request to delete the information we hold about your Player ID.
- You can also ask us to delete or give you a copy of your data by writing to zoomzoosupport@gmail.com. We will answer within 30 days (45 where the law allows).
- If you are in the EEA, UK, California or another place with privacy laws, you may have the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your information, to move it to another service, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We will not treat you worse for using these rights.
- You can stop an online feature at any time by not using it.
9. How long we keep information
We keep online account information while your Player ID is active. Published levels stay available until you or we remove them. After you ask us to delete your data we remove it within 30 days, except for what we must keep for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons (for example records of reports and bans), which we keep only as long as needed. Backups are overwritten on a regular cycle.
10. Security and transfers
We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no system is completely secure. Our servers and providers may be in countries other than yours. Where required, we use legal safeguards for international transfers.
11. Changes
If we make important changes we will tell you in the Game before they take effect. The date at the top shows when this policy was last updated.
